In Yugoslavia, fenbendazole at 5 mg/kg body-weight eliminated Haemonchus contortus, Ostertagia ostertagi, Trichostrongylus sp. and Cooperia sp. from all of 6 cattle with low-level strongyle infections; thiabendazole at 75 mg/kg was similarly effective in clearing all of another 3 animals. Worm counts were performed at autopsy 4 to 7 days after treatment.
