Studies of the winter eggs of fruit-tree mites in the Kamchiiski fruit-growing area

Investigations were made in 1964-68 in the Kamchiiski fruit-growing district of Bulgaria of factors affecting the development of the fruit-tree red spider-mite (Panonychus ulmi (Koch)) and the brown apple mite (Bryobia rubrioculus (Scheuten)), which are the most important pests of fruit trees locally. Also injurious to apple were the hawthorn spider mite (Tetranychus viennensis Zacher) and the common spider mite though their population densities were low during the growing season.
