Studies on apple storage. II. The effects on apple storage of treating with coating materials and gibberellin

Studies on apple storage. II. The effects on apple storage of treating with coating materials and gibberellin

Korean Journal of Horticultural Science 7: 15-19

Rotting, physiological disorders and weight loss during storage were reduced by coating apples with the polymer membrane-forming materials OED, OED-G and CMC. Losses of chemical constituents were also lessened but shrivelling was still observed. The best results were obtained with 0.2% CMC.
