Abstract
Of 45 apple orchards observed, 11 showed distinctive symptoms of Mg deficiency and a further 13 showed mild symptoms. The available Mg contents of the orchard soils were classed as low, medium or high and the results of foliar and soil analyses were in direct relationship to the visual symptoms observed.
