Boar spermatozoa were frozen in a honey + egg yolk diluent composed of 75% by volume of a honey solution and 25% of fresh egg yolk. The optimum honey concentration in the water was 10%, and the addition of glycerol (1.5 or 3%) to the diluent gave improved motility after thawing the spermatozoa.
