, : Studies on induction of axillary flowering in Mangifera indica L. Acta Horticulturae (24): 185-188

Shoot decapitation, with or without ringing treatment, induced axillary flowering in the alternate bearing mango Langra and the regular bearing Gulabkhas when carried out in October, November and December. Gulabkhas was more responsive to the treatment, and in Langra relatively more axillary flowering was induced in the "off" year. Defoliation immediately after decapitation and ringing inhibited auxillary flowering completely in Langra and almost completely in Gulabkhas.
