Studies on the fungistatic activity of extracts of sour orange and Citrus volkameriana with respect to Phoma tracheiphila

Studies on the fungistatic activity of extracts of sour orange and Citrus volkameriana with respect to Phoma tracheiphila

Rivista di Patologia Vegetale 9(2): 139-152

Morphological changes in P. tracheiphila were produced by extracts from stems, midribs and leaves. Growth was inhibited up to 40-50% by chloroform extracts of stems and midribs of sour orange. Tangeritin and nobiletin flavones were identified in stem and leaf extracts of both spp. Substances other than phenols were also present.
