Aflatoxin-producing strs. of Aspergillus flavus produced a blue fluorescence under UV light when grown on a modified Czapek's medium containing corn steep liquor (0.05%), HgCl2 (5 X 10-4M) and (NH4)H2PO4 (1%) instead of NaNO3.
