About 400 varieties, IRRI strains and newly-developed lines were tested against five species. Ten forms were resistant to Laodelphax striatellus, eleven to Nilaparvata lugens, three to Sogatella furcifera, ten to Nephotettix cinticeps and four to Inazuma dorsalis.
