Studies on the resistance of soya bean to Heterodera glycines. II. On local variation in the resistance of soya bean varieties



Research Bulletin of the Hokkaido National Agricultural Experiment Station Hokkaido Nogyo Shikenjo Iho (99): 89-96



Soil infested with Heterodera glycines and used in these studies was obtained from the following localities in Japan: Kitafushiko (Hokkaido), Shinsei (Hokkaido), Takaiwa (Hokkaido), Kariwano (Akita) and Kikyogahara (Nagano). The varieties PI90763 (highly resistant), Nemashirazu (resistant), Toyosuzu (resistant) and Oyachi 2 (susceptible) were grown in these soils. In a second experiment Nemashirazu and Oyachi 2 were artificially inoculated with preparations from each of the infested soils.
