The date of planting for double cropping cucumbers and capsicums in unheated polythene-covered houses

Gradinarska i Lozarska Nauka 10(4): 63-69

In a 45-m-long polythene house cucumbers were planted alone on 23 March and 3 and 13 April, and together with capsicums on 13 April. Cucumbers planted on 23 March started to ripen 7 and 13 days earlier than those planted on the second and third planting dates, respectively. Early yields (up to 31 May) were 54 and 110.8% and total yields 12 and 41.3% higher, respectively.
