The effect of seed rate on yield and composition of forage maize grown under irrigation at Hofuf, Saudi Arabia

In trials at Hofuf, Saudi Arabia, maize sown in Feb. at 10-110 kg seed/ha gave low yields, possibly because of low night temperatures and suspected lime-induced chlorosis. Plant populations ranged from 1 to 18/m2. Proximate and mineral analyses are given and Cu contents were very low.
