Abstract
In trials at Hofuf, Saudi Arabia, maize sown in Feb. at 10-110 kg seed/ha gave low yields, possibly because of low night temperatures and suspected lime-induced chlorosis. Plant populations ranged from 1 to 18/m2. Proximate and mineral analyses are given and Cu contents were very low. The development of the crop under Hofuf conditions is discussed.
