In a trial at Samaru in 1970-1, kenaf Cuba 108 was sown at 3 intervals of 2 weeks from early June at densities of 71 000, 143 000 or 286 000 plants/ha (within-row spacing of 31 cm in rows 91, 61 or 31 cm apart, respectively).
