The same lines were used as for the first investigation of this series The period from harvest to yellowing was one or two days shorter in the white lines than in the green ones. Cured-leaf yield was lower in the white lines than in the green and varied with genetic background. In Kirigasaku the white Burley character strongly affected yield, that of the white line being 20% below that of the green.
