A modified filter paper fluorescent antibody test (FAT) (Anderson et al., 1961) was compared with intradermal tests (IT) in the diagnosis of Trichinella spiralis infection in 204 patients and 105 healthy controls; venous blood was also used in another FAT (after Brzesko et al., 1965), and the complement fixation test (CFT) was also performed.
