Three groups each of 4 rabbits each received different concentrates. The relatively low fertility (as measured by number of ovulation points, percentage of fertilised ova, viability of cultured ova and formation of endometrium) observed in 2 of the groups was attributed to lack of carotene or vitamin A and a detrimental Ca/P ratio in the concentrate of one group, and to unknown quality losses in that of the other.
