The interaction of SADH, CEPA and 2,4,5-TP in improving the quality of early-harvested apples

, : The interaction of SADH, CEPA and 2,4,5-TP in improving the quality of early-harvested apples. Acta Horticulturae (34): 441-444

A mixture of ethephon and 2,4,5-TP applied at 2250 l/ha 10 days before picking greatly improved the appearance and eating quality of Worcester Pearmain apples, and advanced harvest by up to 3 weeks. Reducing the spray volume to 225 l/ha without changing the concentration produced equally good results, as also did sprays of 22.5 l/ha at 10X the concentration.
