Female plants of diecious hemp and different sexual types of monecious hemp (pistillate and feminized staminate hemp) showed a similar level of metabolic activity, indicating their genetic closeness. Nitrogen and phosphorus nutrition caused a higher rate of gas exchange in female plants of diecious and monecious hemp, while nitrogen and potassium nutrition had the same effect on male plants.
