The resistance of strawberry fruits to shaking and crushing

The resistance of strawberry fruits to shaking and crushing

Zeszyty Naukowe Akademii Rolniczo Technicznej w Olsytynie, Rolnictwo (4): 181-190

Fruits of Senga Sengana, among the six varieties tested, were the most resistant to crushing immediately after picking and 24 h afterwards, but at 48 h after picking those of Regina were the most resistant. Resistance to bruising was assessed by tumbling a sample of 0.5 kg of fruit in a drum at 50. r.p.m. and measuring the time to the appearance of the first drops of juice.
