The resistant level of housefly larvae to several insecticides in Indonesia

The resistant level of housefly larvae to several insecticides in Indonesia

Botyu Kagaku 39(4): 117-119

The LC50's of DDT, gamma BHC, diazinon, fenitrothion (Sumithion) and malathion for larvae of 16 strains of house-flies (Musca domestica L.) originating from 16 places in Indonesia are presented. Most of the larvae were less susceptible to the organophosphorus compounds than those of the Takatsuki reference strain. Resistance to diazinon was high in two strains from Java and one from Flores, with LC50's of 194.55, 137.74 and 161.81 p.p.m., respectively.
