The response of the potato cyst nematode, Heterodera rostochiensis, and the root knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita to Dowco 275

The response of the potato cyst nematode, Heterodera rostochiensis, and the root knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita to Dowco 275

Journal of Nematology 6(4): 136

Dowco 275 granules were applied to soil infested with Heterodera rostochiensis at 1, 2, 4 and 8 mg a.i./kg soil just before the planting of potato seedlings. Emergence of 2nd-stage larvae from cysts was delayed, root invasion was reduced and delayed at the higher dosages, and 4th-stage larvae did not develop at 8 mg/kg, which resulted in a final population 12 weeks after treatment which was lower than the initial level.
