In 11 therapeutic diets used in a hospital at Arzamas, Gor'kii oblast, USSR, daily energy contents were from 2252 to 3412 kcal with protein 58.4 to 90.0, fat 66.4 to 95.9, carbohydrate 352.4 to 500.2 g, Fe 11.9 to 35.7 mg, Co 17.3 to 31.9 mu g and Zn 6.1 to 12.1 mg. There was no consistent change in Fe contents with season.
