Weed control in sugar beet with a formulated mixture of pyrazone + diallate

A formulated mixture containing 39% pyrazone and 21% di-allate was incorporated before drilling beet in order to control grasses and broad-leaved weeds. At a rate of 2.53 kg of pyrazone + 1.36 kg of di-allate/ha it proved as effective as the commonly used tank mixture of these a.i's, giving good control of Avena fatua and Alopecurus myosuroides under a wide range of soil and climatic conditions. Selectivity was the same as with the tank mixture.
