Abstract
Data were obtained on 5558 sheep in 1959-68. In females and males resp., wool quality number was 60s and 58s-60s. There was no difference between the staple length in the Bulgarian stock and the German breed standard. Bulgarian conditions had no adverse effect on wool production and quality of the imported sheep.
