A path coefficient analysis of grain yield in three bread wheat crosses



Cereal Research Communications 5(1): 31-39



It is shown from F2 data from crosses of tall C303 with, respectively, tall NP847, semidwarf S227 and triple-dwarf S409 that grain yield was positively and significantly correlated with plant height, spike number and grain weight. The correlation with height always resulted from the indirect association of this trait with other traits correlated with yield.
