A simple method of getting the desired slope in N.F.T. gulleys

Acta Horticulturae (82): 149-150
A simple method of getting the desired slope in N.F.T. gulleys
In the nutrient film technique of soilless culture of tomatoes it is essential to have a fall between 1/50 and 1/100 in order to get movement of at least 1 litre/min of the solution down the channel. The actual laying down of the system on a level site necessitates the digging of a channel or shifting quantities of soil to achieve the desired slope.
