Organochlorine pesticide residues were examined in eggs, milk products and meat in 1974 and in fish in 1972-1974. Mean levels of total BHC, total DDT, dieldrin and heptachlor epoxide resp. in 1974 were (p.p.m.): butter (5 samples), 0.106, 0.066, 0.013, and 0.016; modified dried milk (3 samples), 0.007, 0.002, traces, and not-detected; and milk (10 samples), 0.003, 0.002, traces, and traces, Aldrin, endrin and heptachlor were not detected.
