Biochemical investigation of peat humic acids

Biochemical investigation of peat humic acids

Soviet Soil Science 7(3): 339-344

Peat humic acids consist of fractions that differ in elementary composition, functional groups, degree of oxidation, colour, and thermodynamic characteristics. The fractions can be divided into three groups according to their physiological effect: active, slightly active, and inactive. The heat of combustion and the enthalpy of formation were determined for the humic-acid fractions.
