Cell division and differentiation of pollen grains in triticale anthers cultured in vitro

The first division of the cultured pollen grains often produced two nuclei similar in size and stainability, occasionally separated by a wall. The pattern of subsequent division of these nuclei was distinct and clear differences in their nucleic acid metabolism were also revealed.
