Changes in the levels of endogenous growth inhibitors and gibberellins during dormancy of peach buds

Changes in the levels of endogenous growth inhibitors and gibberellins during dormancy of peach buds

Phyton, Argentina 33(2): 193-204

The levels of growth inhibitors and gibberellin-like substances in peach, (cv. Elberta) flower buds were evaluated. The spectrophotometric determination of naringenin (5, 7, 4' trihydroxyflavanone) levels found in the buds was done during dormancy. The levels of growth inhibitors (including naringenin) diminished progressively from the first date of harvest until the beginning of flowering, whereas those of gibberellins increased.
