In trials in Hissar, India, during 1972-73, treatment of naturally-infected sheep with phenothiazine (600 mg/kg body-weight) plus piperazine adipate (150 mg/kg) or with methyridine (200 mg/kg) was ineffective against gastro-intestinal nematodes (mainly Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus and Oesophagostomum spp.) as judged by faecal egg counts performed for up to 12 weeks after treatment.
