Comparative studies on the immunizing efficacy of selected indigenous strains of infectious laryngotracheitis (ILT) virus with those of imported standard vaccine strains

Three mild indigenous strains of ILT virus were used to immunize 10-week-old chickens. The results were compared with a standard imported vaccine strain. Out of the three strains used, one was found to be very good in comparison with those of the standard imported vaccine strain. The virus induced significant levels of neutralizing antibody and good resistance against virulent virus. The virus did not induce any untoward vaccination reaction.
