Comparative studies on three strains of PVX isolated from naturally infected potato in Egypt. II. Serological studies

The 3 isolates of potato virus X could be distinguished serologically. Str. C attained the highest antigenicity and its antiserum had a titre of 1:512. The titre of antisera propared against str. A or B was 1:256. On the basis of cross absorption precipitin tests the formula of antigenic groups fro the 3 strs. was suggested to be 1, 2, 3, 4 for str. C, 1, 2, 3 for str. A and 1, 3, 4 for str.
