Content of carotenoid pigments in some varieties of durum wheat (Triticum durum) and bread wheat (T. aestivum)

Content of carotenoid pigments in some varieties of durum wheat (Triticum durum) and bread wheat (T. aestivum)

Analele Institutului di Cercetari pentru Cereale si Plante Tehnice 41: 473-481

The content of carotenoid pigments in the grain varied according to variety and year; Hordeiforme and Leeds Durum of the nine durum varieties and Lovrin 10 of the three bread wheats in the study had the highest contents. Site also had an effect on the content in bread-wheat varieties.
