Wheat at low temperatures such as occur in grain stores in Canada was treated with phosphine from a pellet formulation to control adults of Tribolium castaneum (Hbst.) and eggs and adults of Cryptolestes ferrugineus (Steph.) (see preceding abstract, etc.). At temperatures of 8.5-11.3 deg C, all adults of both species were killed when gas concentrations rose from 0 to over 100 p.p.m. in one day.
