Coronavirus-like particles in stools from dogs, from some country areas of Australia

Coronavirus-like particles in stools from dogs, from some country areas of Australia

Veterinary Record 102(24): 528-529

Coronavirus-like particles were found in faeces of dogs from Aboriginal communities in three different areas. Specimens were collected at different times from dogs aged a few weeks upwards. Most of the samples in which the virus was detected were fairly to very loose. The particles varied in size and shape, appearing in round and elongated forms. Spike-like projections of knobs on thin stems appeared as a fringe around the periphery.
