Cyclamen cultivation in various substrates with slow release fertilizers

Zierpflanzenbau 17(24): 844-846

Cyclamens were grown on 2 peat substrates (Edeltorf and Floratorf) with basic slag or lime and 4 types of slow release fertilizer. Edeltorf + lime was superior to Floratorf + lime. Basic slag containing high levels of P and Mn reduced growth in both peat substrates. The slow release fertilizers gave variable results in the different substrates.
