Determination of the toxic effects of dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and trichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4,5-T) on the eggs of the pheasant, quail and fowl. I

Determination of the toxic effects of dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and trichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4,5-T) on the eggs of the pheasant, quail and fowl. I

Anzeiger fur Schadlingskunde, Pflanzenschutz, Umweltschutz 49(2): 21-25

In experiments involving 3693 quail, 1080 pheasant and 500 hen eggs, 2,4-D and a mixture of 2,4-D and 2,4,5-T had no effect on the hatchability or the body weight and frequency of malformations of the chicks when these herbicides were sprayed on the eggs at concentrations up to 10 times those normally used on vegetation.
