Investigations to demonstrate mycoplasmalike organisms in diseased plants by fluorescence microscopy (109-111, 4 ref., 1 tab.). Bark samples of apple and pear trees with proliferation or pear decline symptoms were sectioned with the freezing microtome and the sections treated with 4'-6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI).
