Rats were each administered intraperitoneally with 1-1.2 mg of or labelled phenylmercuric acetate (PMA), and radioactivity levels in organs, blood, faeces and urine were determined 24 h later. Goats orally received 8 mg labelled PMA daily for 5 days, and the distribution of 203Hg in blood corpuscles, plasma, plasma protein, milk protein, milk fat and other milk constituents was determined. About 60% of 203Hg appeared in plasma.
