This paper considers, through a comparison of Spain, France and Canada which are confronted with different levels of economic development, the problem of the organization of the fruit and vegetable market. After outlining the main characteristics of this organization, a study is made of various marketing group positions underlying the major constraints which the organization faces and later difficulties which might arise.
