Effect of feeding yeast grown on n-paraffin on organs of hens and on quality of eggs laid

Hens got diet with 15% yeast grown on n-paraffin and controls got no yeast. For 363 hens, mean weight of liver was 40, heart 8.1 and lungs 8.9 g and there was no difference between hens given yeast and controls. Mean weight of kidney was 14.1 g with yeast and 13.7 g for controls, not significantly different, but kidney weight per kg bodyweight was significantly different, 8.09 and 7.65 g. Mean weight of spleen was 2.07 and 2.31 g, significantly different so but not per kg bodyweight.
