Effect of fertilizers on fruit length and yield of ratoon Smooth Cayenne pineapple crop in Sierra Leone


, : Effect of fertilizers on fruit length and yield of ratoon Smooth Cayenne pineapple crop in Sierra Leone. Acta Horticulturae (49): 237-243

The results indicated that the yield of ratoon crop obtained was influenced by the previous fertilizer practice on the plant crop and the type and quality of fertilizers applied to the ratoon crop. Although a single application of 1646 kg/ha of 64-19-8 NPK was efficient in enhancing ratoon crops, it should be supplemented with a single application of 339 kg/ha N or 678 kg/ha N depending on the previous fertilizer practice.
