Effect of plant regulators on the growth and development of onion (Allium cepa L.) transplants

The roots of onion seedlings, Poona Red, were soaked for 12 h in water or 20, 40 or 60 p.p.m. NAA, IAA or GA before transplanting. Planting height, and leaf, root and bulb growth were generally improved by treatment at 20 p.p.m. with any of the growth substances, the most effective being NAA.
