Effect of rhizome size and fungicide treatment on the sprouting and early growth of ginger



Malaysian Agricultural Journal 49(4): 480-491



In a rhizome size X fungicide factorial experiment conducted on peat, it was found that portions of ginger with 2 or 3 constrictions along their length produced almost as good growth as those with 4 constrictions. Those with 2 constrictions produced better growth than those that were smaller. A high incidence of rotting was recorded for half-portions.
