Effect of treatment with attenuated infectious bursitis agent on the immune response to vaccination against Newcastle disease

Effect of treatment with attenuated infectious bursitis agent on the immune response to vaccination against Newcastle disease

Clinica Veterinaria 99(8): 387-393

This study was designed to investigate whether the immunosuppressive effect of virulent infectious bursitis agent (see VB 45, abst. 1100) was also exercised by attenuated vaccine strains. In tests involving 540 chicks, prior vaccination against infectious bursitis did not reduce the resistance to challenge (with virulent Newcastle disease virus) of chicks subsequently given ND vaccines.
