Effect of two sources of energy and an anabolic substance on use of urea in fattening cattle on silage of maize forage without ears

After adaptation to diet and paddock conditions, 20 zebu X Polled Sinu bullocks weighing initially about 314 kg had for 180 days maize silage without ears freely, 100 g urea and 1.2 kg potato meal, alone or with, at the start and after 90 days, anabolic steroid by implantation, or the silage, urea and 1.5 kg molasses with or without the implant. The additives were mixed manually with the silage. Vitamin A was given twice by injection.
