Effect of varied copulatory periods of Melanoplus sanguinipes (Orthoptera: Acrididae) females on egg hatchability and hatchling sex ratios

Mating studies with Melanoplus sanguinipes (F.) carried out in the laboratory in Saskatchewan indicated that the percentage of eggs that hatched successfully and the percentage of males among the hatchlings decreased as the duration of pairing between the parents decreased.
