Effect of various planes of nutrition of milk production in crossbred cows

Effect of various planes of nutrition of milk production in crossbred cows

Indian Journal of Dairy Science 29(4): 264-267

3 groups of 5 lactating Holstein-Friesian X Haryana crossbred cows were used in a 12-wk trial to compare 3 rations containing oat silage + concentrate (barley, maize, wheat bran, groundnut cake, guar meal and minerals) fed to provide TDN according to (i) NRC recommended level (1966), (ii) 10% below or (iii) 10% above this level. There was no significant difference between treatment groups for daily DM intake, daily milk yield (average approx. 10 kg), or contents of fat and SNF.
