Effect of various rootstocks on the growth and yield of Valencia orange, Marsh Seedless grapefruit, and ortanique trees in Jamaica

Studies with 6 commercial citrus rootstocks showed that rough lemon and Rangpur lime were the most vigorous. Cleopatra mandarin was the next most vigorous, while the trifoliate orange was the least vigorous. The widely used sour orange rootstock was relatively slow growing and its vigour was about equal to that of Troyer citrange rootstock.
